Stinger late Eve Ride at Ponto

Great late ride other than the bee sting at the trailhead. Killer on the left hamstring before an hour of dry fast sand and occasional mud slicks. Possible lake swim after - than I saw the beach weeds and debris - no thanks. 10.2 in 1:05.

Caseville pretty much exactly in Forecast.

Caseville 6am departure said no rain and SW 30-35 blowing all night. Let's go. That means waves and swell. 7m and surfboard was light inside but right on outside where it kicked. Only problem was big waves were inside and into beach where I was playing. First hour solid but I decided to break and move to the 9m. Overpowered back out but with 6 inches repower it's working perfect with my short Alana bar. It perfection when I get to breakwall and a curling 2-5' long break swell develops and gets even corner with winds 20-25 and more west. My best day ever in hi winds and swell strapless. Confidence builder and really in board control especially heelside throwing buckets on the lips. Spun out tri fin for first time ever. Found a good technique strapless in racing down waves faces - more control with being little forward with feet position. Still as blue to turn and cut hard with but foot it less speed loss and more trenching carve. All in all 2-3 hours almost in wave playground with crowds on breakwall to add to the glory. Worth the drive there and home again at 4. I will be back this fall for more st this perfect kite beach spot.

Saturday Fires at Metro. I'll take it for a afternoon session

Nice pickup at metro with a big crowd from 2-5pm. Sun and late rain but decent 12-22 South flow. Pretty solid 12 meter day with the surfboard and the Mako for some sort time. Good fun and prep for tomorrows fun.

The Whole Boynechileda

Huge long ride - best B High to date... Making a left instead of right at the backside bottom green sign proved to be long fast flows downhill for what seemed to be 2-3 miles. Loved it. Took way off property but well worth the long ride back to resync into Green then Blue and the Orange. The Spline of the north was fast and the FatTi was excellent. I'll say it you need huge tires just to ride here anyway with this much sand. 2 hours of pushing it with a lot of DH payoff. Great ride. Hoping to be back for a repay in a day or two.

Day 2 Petoskey and Repeat Saturday.

Woo. 5-10 North gets us 18-22 NW by 11am and were riding. Solid 12m with couple inches of depower. By 1 it's time for dream downwinder and we pacnit up and drive to Bat Harbor for barely 10! Nothing to sail her and 10-15 barely at breakwall. It's dying right? No it's almost 9 m back at condo! Back on water it's solid 12!? All the wind focused on our beach. Even after 4 long tacks back up to breakwall there's light wind there. But downwinder back is the treasure. Another 5 hours day on water. I'll take it for solid day 2. Sun and wind works.

Day 1 Petoskey Delivers NW 15-25

I'll take it. PSP arrival at 1pm and 15-20 onshore with pure sun and 84 - water 78. Perfection 12m and Duke slash and wave riding. About 3 people out and the whole bay to ride. Great start with almost 5 hours time on water. Hoping this holds on.

River Bender Weeknight Ride

Thursday and 12 miles in 89 muggy sunny conditions. Finally got to do the swamp section (which was very wet). Not bad though with new 2 way section now avoiding a single path. Good and close place to ride. A definite double loop here.

Lexington classic in July.

Great Friday 18-25 N winds with 85 degrees and no wetsuit starting 12m. Building swell and great down the line fun. Didn't bother to get the Mako out of the van - the Duke was perfection for carving and slashing. Figured out a lot of timing and waves math this time and keeping the kite powered - even dropping in on wave. Moved to the 9m for second session and wasn't op'd as was starting to happen by mid afternoon. In all 5 great hours out nailing it. One good crash to highlight made me do my first kite loop and I will say the pull from it is something you won't be ready for. Off water at 7 - pretty beat. Wanted more though... Lex in July with a cool north is the bomb.
