Beautiful frozen Saturday ride

35° on a sunny morning in Brighton meeting up with JB. Road torn shirt and Murray lake both solid and slightly frozen but perfect pre-winter fat biking. As if I didn't have enough that followed up with a ride at Mayberry for a quick loop and almost 23 miles for the day. Beer me - now service time for that Bluto!

Nov. 16th - 2019 Winter Snowbike season begins...

Super long snow single tracking at River Bends hitting the new section on other side of canal I somehow missed the past 3 years! 6 PSI was call as I dropped air throughout whole ride. Rode all the way down to the south sections but could power through the 10-12" of powder on 2 bridges. Sunny and 26 degrees with little ice mostly all packed grippy snow. Love winter riding. Lots of other fatties out too.

Sunday follow up out to Tree Farm

Still wanting more and got it with 50/50 ice/packed snow. Mostly sunny and balmy 41 degrees at 1pm. Went in on back road with a couple of riders out - even saw another Motobecane FatTi! 4PSI soft but worked well on the ice - maybe 1-2 dabs to keep from falling. Love the Patagonia boots and flat pedals - crazy to ride clips and $250 winter riding boots. Fun to do a ride and then snow kite right on Walled lake next door in a few months. Bring it.

Bloomer let’s ride before it snows!

Braking leaves is more like it. Total coverage in most spot but not to slippery. Good quick loop at 46 degrees. Fall going to winter Monday and true Fat bike season begins.

Its Cold with Ice and 9m at MB Saturday

Saturday 32 degrees and lm only one at Metro with 20-25 SW winds... 7mm gloves and 6mm booties with the drysuit - let's go!  Only problem was 20 minutes into the riding and the whole OR bar is iced up solid. No depower and who knows if the releases will work. 45 mins out and 45 mins in to rest and switch to Naish bar. Winds still good and now waves popping up. Another hour on slashing and carving on the Jester but now I can't get the depower off on the Naish bar due to ice on all the lines!  Almost and hour back in and the winds drop so now I get to watch the other arriving go out on their 12s. Good morning short and sweet but ice is definitely a stopping force at these freezing temps..
