Lex in a Sunny Friday

Friday and it's north 15-20. 11m but looks like 9m easy. Warm water and sun blaring on the rides in. Waves great on north side of marina. Finally getting my top turns little by little and steep shore break with underpowered winds us ultimate practice. 2.5 sesh nice overall. Worthy of the 90 minute drive up and the 2.5 hours home through Fenton.

Island Lake Sunny August Saturday Morning

Fast and dry after rain last night. So good I had to do Yellow twice. Sun and 75 and only a lot of hikers to avoid, where's everyone on bikes this morning?

Boys celebrating a late day of kiting!

Lex on a Tuesday Lite 11 but we’re riding

Sunny 75 and the NE breeze never got more than 15-20. Should have been on my 14 but the 11 powered thru with 3-4 Northglenn the beach and marina mini downwinders. Lots of potential lost by 7pm it was over. Great salmon dinner salad with the boys at Villager Pub. Home by 11! Late long day but good strapless fun.

Sunday With a Tree Farm bookend

Back from up north but time for a quickloop late Sunday. Perfect conditions 78 and sun and dry. Only now need to get the families with the jam boxes off the trail!

Friday Best Biggest day yet NW 9m Waves off Bayview

9m all day with NW 25-30+ pulsing through perfectly with sun and 72 degrees. Started on the Jester and later to the Duke but stuck mostly in front of Bayview for best wind and waves. Hawaii style waves all day: 200 foot long curling 2-6' clean and nicely spaced out. Real close to what we got about 10 years ago with chaos and John visiting us at Brents. 3 other kiters from PSP finally joined me at 4:30 to see why I was staying at Bayview and they quickly got rewarded. Rip and slash day so happy I was on surfboard watching these guys trying to ride waves on a twintip just wont do it.

Thursday all day 25+ on the Jester for strapped quad railing.

Sun and 73 it was capping NW 18-20 by 7am. By 12:30 it was solid 25 and great waves all along the coast. Classic conditions and mostly op'd on the 11 but needed it with the tiny Jester. Learning how to ride the four fins and that back leg to cut turns. Up to the Breakwall was easy and airing out some jumps for the Breakwall crowds. Overall best day yet here and looking like repeat again tomorrow.

Morning MTB starts in the wet sand early at B High

Fat tires and sand working all morning after hard rains last night. Two times up and some excellent DH on the far right side. Now let's go sail!

Monday coasting on the wheel way to East Bay Park

Good AM ride up the Bear River Trailway and back down the coast.

Classic NW thermal after 3 day tease - worth the wait!

5-10 NOAA for the bay at 10am...by 11 it's capping..by 12:30 it 15-20..by 1pm its 20-25 and 14 and Duke fully powered. Perfect sun, temps and water for upwinder to Breakwall and then coastal play to Harbor Cove. Only one out today too which gave name the whole Lake. Switched to the 11 at 4pm for an hour and that should have been the call day but it works the last hour. And then right at 5pm like clockwork the winds dropped in half. Still perfection for the first week of August. Hoping we get more cold AMs on Thursday and Friday!

Sunday Day 1 starts out on the SUP

Little to no morning breeze means 5 mile paddle up to Downtown marina and back. Good for 1:30 on the water with sun and 85 degrees... and some new calluses on the hands.

River Bender before North Week

Late, fun, fast and finally dry at River Bends on a Friday evening before packing for up north. 2 quick loops at record pace but forgot to turn of Strava! All good anyway. This place rocks for a close ride. Best dry and at 80 degrees before dusk.
