Harsens has it all: Sun, Rain, Hail and Gale!

7m Glory.  Starting underpowered on the 7 and Duke in South 12-25 but it worked well later in day. Cold temps in 40's but winds kept ramping up. Dark clouds giving away to rain then hail then sun and full rainbows. Good slashing and carving conditions once the winds got above 30's. By 5pm it was 40+ full gale with the sun out and spray blowing off top of water. Lots of smiles on a day that was worth the drive! Winter is coming....

Easy like Sunday Highland morning.

Awesome Sunday morning at 11am at 45 degree temps with clouds and wet leaves. But what a cool fun ride. Highland was actually dry and not slippery with the nights prior rain. 14.1 miles in 2:30 with JB and Lucky the Dog Runner! Love fall riding and cold temps. Now I have to figure out what's going on with the rear hub noises - surgery this week on hub and pawns!

Fwd: Blooming Fall glory at 75 degrees and sun

Great fall ride late in day with 60-70% leaf coverage on trail. Dry and fast. Fun with the tires at 18psi. Colder temps are coming.

Metro goes off 9m and 7m! Gale time!

8:30am on water for 2 hours on the 9 and the Duke by 11 it's 2 more hours of 7m time and gale'n! Sun, rain and 70 degrees and 20+ kiters out by lunch. Really good swell and curling wave action in the beach bowl by 11am. Stashing and cutting it. 1pm on the hour it went nuclear and west - made it in with no time to spare! Great Sunday morning. Lots of smiles and those iron men back out over at Harsens for some more 6m action. Now this is fall sailing action.

Bloomer Friday Fall Looper

Nice 70 and sun with brand new Guide RS levels. Supper braking with the fork running very tight. Leaves are already down everywhere on trail first half! Perfect close by single track.

Jeannie photo credits - lots of smiles on 2 sport day.

Its Gales and WS 5.4 --> 4.2 at Marysville after 3 year Hiatus!

Lots of changes to this site but one thing remains the same this place is awesome on a dead Southwind with Sun and a forecast calls for gales when is the day strengthens. Hell - there a hige fishing dock right in front of the launch now!!  Awesome group up at Marysville today starting with Jeff Craig and Jeannie Brian Keith and loads of others from Canada and a far. The day was mostly all windsurfing and really awesome starting on the 5.4 quickly moving to the 4.2 for a total of almost 3 1/2 hours. The last half hour on the 9 m kite was too gusty and bucking so after a half hour that was enough. You cannot beat a sunny south day on October 7 with temperatures in the 80s and winds 20 to 35 from the dead south and Marysville. Awesome group dinner at Harson’s Island brewery watching the Michigan v. Michigan State football game ending with a green/white victory! What a great day overall!

Fuse demo day at Addy, Baldy and Bloomer Rim.

Give me the big 4.8 Lou and Buds. 27.5 x 3.0 is still too small for me. The large Fuse fit right but cheap build and lack of torsional stiffness makes it a hard ride. 17.5 miles thru 3 trails in 2 hours. 65 and sunny with the leaves just starting to fall - perfection for single track riding. BR delivers a 7m sunny wavey day!

Woo, 9m an 7m day with some great tall curling waves. 20-35mph mostly all day. Carve city and trenching the beachfront in Canada. 4 hours almost and 3 of those on the Duke. Fall like temps in 70s and WNW turning dead North at 4pm and touching 37 mph. The beach was mostly empty but for 4 other kiters and the waves along the breakwall end were perfection with the sun shining off their curling glory. Needed this day after 4 veeks since a SoHa. Great kiting day at BR and adding the wave action it was at classic to plan on coming again for on a NW.

Brighton Hot Rear Brake Fun.

19.2 long miles on 83 degree heat with the dreaded SRM Guide RS brake fail. Sticky and stuck front brakes made me ditch it and we rode it rear only. JB killing it SingleSpeed leading the way. Great trail with about 1/2 the fun factor diving into the turns and drops. I'll be back with new brakes soon.
