Saturday at Metro, August 29 Afternoon Delight
Glad to have driven to Metro this afternoon for sure. Sun and 70 degrees and winds that kicked in at 3pm 15-25mph SSW - 5.7 Expression overpowered most of the time with the 107 FSW to start and them on to the 85. Weeds poised no issues we me this session as I cut them to pieces with the 12" Weed Blade at 20mph+. Great 3 hour session with the whole crew of regulars out to enjoy - rumors holding that tomorrow NW winds mean dawn patrol for KP....stay tuned.

Friday Aug. 21, Lovin' a 2 sport day
Played 18 holes at the Inn at St. John in the morning and them headed over to Metro for the 5M consistent SW winds in the afternoon. Great 2 sport day and having missed yesterday's 4.5M at Metro a great save for the 2 most solid days on wind this month. Sun and the overpowered 5.7M with the JP FSW 84 was more than enough to play off the Metro point and into the main basin of LSC. The waves weren't there but the wind very disappointed staying steady and non-holey from 2-5pm whn I was out. By all reports it just kept blowing until dark! The graph for LSCM4 says it all 20-30 SSW - yes.

Sat. Aug. 15, X-XC at Boyne Highlands
Boyne High evening sesh - still wet from the days' rain but a pretty eXtreme XC ride on the the north side off the mountain. Super moist with sandy sections and I had to pump up my tires to the max the week before. Only about a 6 mile ride but hoofing it uphill for about 35% of the ride made it a 50+ minute ride. One highlight is the Pontiac Lake like halfpipe that is 10 times the length and speed. Great job marking the trails too - you can actually figure out where you are at most of the time. The MTB director there said they sold 100 lift tix - one of the best days ever. I can't wait to come back and do the DH with all the protective gear.

Thursday, Aug. 13 at Hickory Glen
Quick 7.8 miles at Hickory Glen - only 45 minutes for an hours drive - yeah I'm getting the rides in whenever I can...Runkeeper is right on but the mileage is way off - 3 miles in 45 minutes...I don't think so.

Monday Aug. 3, 2009 Marysville is the new Groge
Great day at Marysville from 1pm - 5pm - - a really windy great day. We needed it too. We sailed in 25-35++ winds with big waves at Marysville. Probably the best session I've ever had there. 200 degree winds being just solid as a rock and the waves being as big as think I've seen up to 5-6 feet in the middle occasionally. With the 4.5M Search and the 84 JP FSW I had the perfect setup for the sesh. Very close to the Gorge sessions last week but alot better when you got your own gear. I don't know if it was a coincidence but it started to drop and get holey once JB showed up? Alleve and Gatorade for dinner on the way home. We need some more days like this!
There for it: Brent, Millard, Craig, Keith, JAB Sports
Winds and waves: SSW 20-40++ & 2-6 feet

Sunday, Aug. 2 Island Lake Ride
Nice 14.2 miles of very fast singletrack with Bemonz. 1:20 minutes
with my iPhone 3GS now tracking all the fun. Pretty accurate GPS of
the ride. Not close though to riding off last nights pizza...
